Flower cane mix set in Yellow Translucent and Lavender

by Karen Jonsson
(Huber Heights Ohio)

What brand of clay did you use?

Premo

What colors did you use? If you mixed them yourself you can include a color recipe here if you like.

Yellow Translucent, black and a mix of purple and white, no recipe, just but how it looked.

Any special tools that other polymer clayers may be interested in?

Bevelled ring blank and 12 mm connectors for the bracelet. A fold over clasp. Cutters from another site.

Tell us how it went. Was it fun? Easy? Hard? Did you struggle with anything?

The hardest thing was figuring what cutters to use and if they coordinated of not. I made 4 different canes. The yellow rose was translucent and yellow premo. I thought adding that color made a great contrast. It was fun arranging them on a sheet of well mixed scrap clay. The bracelet was a bit tedious as I had to attach and reattach the jump rings many times so the connectors all faced the same direction

Do you have any tips for others trying this technique?

Make a lot of each cane to save for other
projects.

Anything else you would like to share with us?

Sorry about the terrible lighting but now I have a photobox. Remember always tell people it is organic. That will explain problems with uniformity.
